Best Pumpkin Patches in Toledo

Fall is a season that holds a special place in my heart. I love to go with the family and take a road trip to our favorite local pumpkin patch!  We spend the cool, autumn day picking pumpkins and gourds, enjoying bumpy hayrides, getting lost in the corn maze and eating warm donuts. Here's a list of my all-time-favorite pumpkin patches in and around Toledo.

Fleitz Pumpkin Farm

This charming farm has been around since 1991.  You’ll love their giant selection of pumpkins along with other fall produce such as squash, dried gourds and mums.  Make a day out of by checking out their corn mazes (1 acre or 5 acres), hayrides, kid’s straw climbing tower, goats and snack shop!  Admission and parking is free and so is the mini corn maze and the kid’s straw maze.

Open daily September 12-October 31 from 10am-7pm

Located at 7133 Seaman Rd. Oregon, Ohio 43616

Traffic Pumpkin Farm

The Trabbic Family has an impressive 40 acres of pumpkins on their farm.  After you’ve found the perfect pumpkins, you can wear the kids out at the corn maze, the pumpkin train (I really want to go on this myself, not going to lie), a hay ride, the spinning teddy bear ride or the kid’s play area. You can also expect to be able to enjoy cider and doughnuts of course!

Open daily September 14-October 31 from 10am-7pm

Located at 1560 E. Sterns Rd. Erie, MI 48133

Gust Brother's Pumpkin Farm

At Gust Brother’s, you decide if you’d like to pick your own pumpkin or choose out of the pre-picked selection.  Something that also caught my eye is they offer you-cut flowers and build-your-own bouquets, which sounds like a lot of fun to me!  This farm is stocked with all your favorite fall snacks and cider and hayrides on the weekend.  You can also come here for your fall decorations, like straw bales and fall wreaths.  Admission and parking are free!

Open daily September 8-October 31 from 9am-7pm

Located at 13639 Mulberry Rd. Ottawa Lake, MI 49267

The Pumpkin Peddler

I want to give points to this farm, just based on how cute their name is!  All cuteness aside, there’s a lot more to be discovered at The Pumpkin Peddler.  How about a hayride through the tree farm on your way to the pumpkin patch where you can pick your own?  After that, you can join in the fun at the pumpkin maze, get some face painting or visit the craft store for your fall and Halloween decorations!

Open the month of October - Weekdays: Noon till Dark. Saturdays: 10 till Dark. Sundays: 11 till Dark.

Located at 20354 North Dixie Highway Bowling Green, Ohio 43402

Jason’s Pumpkin Patch

Adorable, adorable, adorable!  This farm is the perfect place to entertain the kids and get those perfect fall photos.  Along with the pumpkin farm, hayrides and corn mazes, they have a whole Kids Zone with pedal go-carts, pony cart rides, playground equipment and much more!  You can also count on them for other fall produce, such as squash and gourds and your favorite fall foods.

Open Mid-September-October 31 from 10am-7pm

Located at 12629 W. Salem Carroll Rd. Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449

Country Lane Tree Farm

This place is so much more than a pumpkin patch!  Admission to their U-pick, pumpkin patch is free and so is the hayride to get there.  Be sure to visit them during their Fall Festivals which take place Saturday and Sunday in October from 11am-4pm.  During the festivals you get the chance to feed the farm animals (animal food included in admission), milk a REAL cow (What?! Sign me up!), hold baby ducks, do a corn cannon shoot and kid’s can go on a pony ride and a train ride.  Sounds like the kiddo’s will be sleeping well after this one!

Pumpkin Patch hours are Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm

Located at 3525 N. Bolander Rd. Genoa, Ohio 43430

Stevens Gardens

A true, “down on the farm”, family feel! Stop by this quaint, family owned farm for a full selection of fall decor and pumpkins!  Bring the kids for the petting zoo, hayrides, corn maze and straw maze.  I’ve heard the ‘must-try’ item at this farm is the Apple Cider Slush, so make sure you get one of those too!

Open Monday-Friday from 10am-7pm, Saturday 9am-7pm and Sunday 10am-6pm

Located at 4550 Weckerly Rd Monclova, Ohio

BJ Farm

I don’t know about you, but I love when you get to pick your own pumpkin!  At BJ’s, you can take a hayride through the corn maze (how cool!), out to the pumpkin patch to pick your own.  Consider BJ’s a one stop shop for all your fall needs. Of course, we start with pumpkins, but you’ll also need fall decor, a pumpkin carving kit, your perfect pumpkin picking photo ops and donuts…lots of donuts.  BJ’s has you covered on all fronts and admission is free!

Open September 20-October 31. Sunday-Thursday: 10-7pm. Friday-Saturday: 10-8pm

*Hayrides to the U-Pick Patch are every Saturday 11am-dusk and Sunday 12-dusk*
