What To Do in Toledo from Home (+ some good news!)

Once again, our weekly “upcoming events” list has pivoted to suit our “stay home” orders in effect in Ohio.  I hope you’re finding ways to keep from going stir crazy while we all get through this together.  If you are getting a little stir crazy, I’ve put together a list of good news and things you can do from your home to keep yourself and the little ones occupied this weekend!

For me, I love cooking, so not able to go out to eat has actually been a treat.  If you are getting tired of being in the kitchen, there’s a great group on Facebook called “Toledo to go”. People and businesses are posting their take-out meals and you’ll find a lot of good suggestions there.  The best part is that it is local businesses ONLY!

For the kids…

Laurel’s Princess Parties is doing Facebook Live entertainment for the kids to tune into.  You can find the line up on their Facebook or Instagram.

Pop It Paint It is doing DIY painting kits that you can order from their website, here.

Create Perrysburg is also doing take home craft kits for the kids. You can find the information for them on their Facebook or Instagram.

For everyone…

TrvFit Perrysburg just launched their On Demand app and they’re offering 30 days of free, at-home workouts.  I use this personally and love it.  Click here to join.

Jupmode is selling care packages on their website equipped with a sweatshirt blanket and other “cozy” essentials.  This would be a great way to brighten someone else’s day!

There are also numerous church services happening online.

Good news in Toledo…

Deet’s BBQ is partnering with local area hospitals and medical facilities to feed the healthcare workers who are on the front lines fighting this virus.  You can donate on their website, here.

Toledo Spirits and Maumee Bay Brewing Company are now working on recipes for hand sanitizer to help with the local shortage.  You can find the story here.

I hope this helps! If you need anything, even if it's just someone to talk to. Please reach out anytime!
